COP26 Todays date is 07.11.2021
Well, as interesting as it is to watch paint dry... yawn! yawn!
COP26 has really delivered Zero so far. As for promises, well we're good at those, we can make them all day in our sleep. Disappointed, is a word that comes to mind, but then again my expectations of "World Leaders & Prominent Figures" have never moved the needle passed Zero. So no change there.
So 26 meetings later with the clock ticking away and dire messages being announced from all corners of the globe, it's a wonder that we even bothered with the whole event. It was good to see Greta, and her army of freedom fighters really making waves in the shallow end of the pool. Not quite the Tsunami I was hoping for.
So what are we in store for next year! Well, if I were a gambling man, which I'm not. Then this would be what's coming whether we like it or not. 2022 is going to be the "Mother of all years"
Lets just list the usual suspects who always turn up for the party.
Global Warming or Cooling whichever camp you happen to be in.
Rain, and more rain, go is on its way.
Eruptions, Earthquakes...
Hurricanes, Tornadoes and Tropical Storms
Famine, more wars and pestilence.
Covid 19, starts to ramp up in it's 3rd year.
Sea-level rising begins to increase pace, which means land erosion is increasing too.
Permafrost which I wrote about last year begins to create more headlines as with CO4
Human migration still a huge global issue
Ozone is weakening again.
